Djidi Kids are Stronger, Smarter and Safer

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Djidi Djidi Aboriginal School. This prospectus is designed to provide you with an overview of the school and the programs we can offer your child.

Choosing a school for your child is a very important decision that you as a parent/carer will make. Djidi Djidi Aboriginal School provides a balanced education in a caring, supportive environment. The school curriculum and programs offered support the development of the academic, social, emotional and physical aspects of the whole child, working collaboratively with you as a parent/carer to help your child to reach their full potential.

All primary aged children within the Bunbury area can enrol at Djidi Djidi. The school is based on valuing diversity (differences) and inclusivity (all children’s needs catered for). Children with special needs are accommodated within the normal classroom setting.

Djidi Djidi Aboriginal School has been recognised  for 'Best Practice in Early Childhood'.  In the past we have been presented with two state Aboriginal Education Awards including an Outstanding School for Aboriginal Education award from the WA Department of Education and Training (DET).  Individual staff have also received recognition for their achievements at a local and state-wide level for their continued support and work in Aboriginal Education.

The school implements  outcomes based philosophy across all classes, implementing an array of strategies and pedagogy which reflect the culture, needs, experiences and abilities of the children of Djidi Djidi.

I invite you to browse through our prospectus and contact me to arrange  a visit and tour of our school. My staff and I would be very happy to discuss with you any of your child’s educational needs.

We look forward to hearing from you and trust that we can further assist in making your child feel very welcome at Djidi.
